John Grieshop is a freelance photojournalist based out of the Dayton / Cincinnati, Ohio area. He regularly covers college and professional sporting events throughout the United States.
John began his career in 1990 after graduating from Bowling Green State University with a Photojournalism degree. His first job was as a lighting tech / assistant for Sports Illustrated in New York. In 1994, he moved back to Ohio to concentrate on shooting full time, focusing on the midwest market.
John is a contract photographer for The Upper Deck Trading Card Company. He also freelances regularly for numerous clients including Sports Illustrated, MLB Photos, ESPN the Magazine, Bruce L. Schwartzman Sports, SLAM Magazine, Golf Digest, and The New York Times.
